Dallas Drake scored twice and Scott Young had three assists as the St. Louis Blues beat the San Jose Sharks 6-3 and took a 2-1 lead in the first round series.
Pierre Turgeon had a power-play goal and two assists and Scott Mellanby, Jochen Hecht and Cory Stillman each also scored for the Blues. San Jose goalie Evgeni Nabokov, who shut out the Blues in Game 2, had a shaky outing and was replaced by Miikka Kiprusoff at the start of the third period. Scott Thornton, Vincent Damphousse and Tony Granato scored for the Sharks. |
