Sabres Take LeadArchived from 2000-01 season. | |
Stu Barnes scored 8:34 into overtime to finish Buffalo's three-goal comeback for a 3-2 victory over the Pittsburgh Penguins.
"For us, I don't feel like we've accomplished anything yet," Barnes said. "We feel that this is a dangerous team we're playing. You just go down the lineup there. They've got so many guys that can score goals that we're going to have to play a lot better than we did tonight." The Sabres, who trailed the best-of-seven second-round series 2-0, are now in the driver's seat with a 3-2 lead in the series and a chance to end it in Game 6 on Tuesday in Pittsburgh. "I don't know what happened," Penguins forward Jaromir Jagr said. "It's not over. Anything's possible. We know we can play those guys, even if we're down 3-2. I've still got a lot of confidence in our team." Barnes netted his second consecutive game-winning goal. Chris Gratton and Curtis Brown also scored for Buffalo. |
