Petr Sykora scored twice as the New Jersey Devils skated to a 3-1 victory over the Pittsburgh Penguins in the Eastern Conference finals opener.
The Devils succesfully shut out Penguins stars Mario Lemieux and Jaromir Jagr, who were held pointless. Randy McKay had the other goal and Martin Brodeur faced only 15 shots for the defending Stanley Cup champs Devils. Game 2 is on Tuesday night in New Jersey. |
