Five players changed clubs as a result of the 2000-01 NHL Waiver Draft, held Friday via conference call.
Left wing Zdeno Ciger and right wing Sylvain Blouin were claimed by the expansion Minnesota Wild from the Nashville Predators and Montreal Canadiens respectively. The New York Rangers took left wing Andreas Johansson from the Calgary Flames, Tampa Bay selected center Jason Podollan from the Los Angeles Kings and right wing Jeff Odgers was claimed by the Atlanta Thrashers from the Wild. |
