Curt Fraser became the fourth NHL head coach to lose his job as he was fired by the Atlanta Thrashers on Thursday.
General manager Don Waddell will be the interim head coach for the Thrashers, who have the worst record in the league. "I think we all have to be held accountable," Waddell said. "I'll tell the players today when we meet that they got a good guy, a good person, fired." Fraser has been the only coach in the team's history and leaves with a 64-173-31-15 record. "This is probably the toughest business decision I've ever made. He's a good friend of mine, a good person." Waddell said. |
