Blackhawks worse than ever?Archived from 1997-98 season.Things are tough for hockey fans in the Windy City. After seven games the Chicago Blackhawks are pointless and dead last in the NHL. Friday, it was the St. Louis Blues' turn to beat the Blackhawks, 2-0, who clearly have lost the warpath. Chicago dropped to 0-7-0 for the season, equaling their worst record from the start of a season, previously set in 1947-48. The Blackhawks are struggling to put the puck in the net with their current scoreless streak lasting over two hole games. "Not every goalie can be good against us," said Blackhawks captain Chris Chelios. "It has to be something we're not doing." Copyright©1997 The HockeyNut |
