Clipped Wings?Archived from 1997-98 season. | ||
The Red Wings have lost four out of last five for the first time this season. On Saturday they suffered a 6-1 blow-out loss to the Philadelphia Flyers who were playing without star center Eric Lindros. "I don't think anyone thinks we're playing good right now, we all know that," goalie Chris Osgood said. "The only consolation is that it's happening right now and we can get this straightened out before the playoffs. It's frustrating for all the players." Osgood has clearly struggled recently. He was pulled for the first time this season last Tuesday after allowing four goals on 19 shots in the first period against Boston. Saturday he lasted until early third period letting in six goals on 28 shots. "When it rains it pours, and it's pouring right now, but what are you going to do? We just have to keep working hard to try and get out of this funk." Osgood said. |
