Jay Pandolfo scored on a pass from Brian Rolston with 9:11 to play in the third period to give the New Jersey Devils a 4-3 victory over the Florida Panthers. The Devils extended their winning streak to four games.

"We usually play against the top lines, but we still want to get some goals," said Pandolfo. "Rolston, he just saw me, it was sort of a shot-pass, so I just deflected it past him."

Rob Niedermayer, Scott Mellanby and ex-Devil Kirk Muller scored the Panthers goals while Pandolfo, Randy McKay, Dave Andreychuk and Ken Daneyko scored for the Devils.

"It's nice to score some goals, we also had some more opportunities and Burke made some nice saves," said Devils coach Bobbie Fore. "It was a good win, but we didn't play exceptionally well. Parts of our game were really good and some not really."
