It took the Dallas Stars six games and and an overtime to take care of the San Jose Sharks.

The Stars won game six, 3-2, and the series by an overtime goal by Mike Keane, who had two goals in the game. Darryl Sydor fed the puck to Keane for the game-winner.

"It was a great pass, I took the shot, but I'm not a goal scorer," Keane said. "This is big for me."

Sharks made this series much closer than any expectations. The team was threatening to force Game 7 by taking an early 2-0 lead before the Stars came back with two straight goals in the second period and the game-winner at 3:43 into overtime.

"The best team won. Modano was a dominant player when he had to be and I think their defense, in the end, was really, really good," said Sharks coach Darryl Sutter. "As the series went on, their defense jumped into the play a lot more and was more of a factor."

Unbeliavable upsets Part 2. One night after Buffalo sent Philadelphia to an early vacation, it happened again. This time it was the Ottawa Senators beating the New Jersey Devils, 3-1, to win the series.

"We were all over them from the first minute to the last," said Ottawa's Daniel Alfredsson. "I don't think that's a fluke."

Oilers force Game 7. The Edmonton Oilers faced a do-or-die and beat the Colorado Avalanche, 2-0, to tie series 3-3.
