Isles sign HamrlikArchived from 2000-01 season. | |
The New York Islanders signed restricted free agent Roman Hamrlik to a four-year, $12.8 million contract.
The signing is another strong indication that the team's new owners Charles Wang and Sanjay Kumar are determined to make the Isles a winning team again. "I am very relieved and extremely happy to have a premium defenseman like Roman signed up long-term," Islanders general manager Mike Milbury said. "He is a top player that adds to an already very good group of defensemen. I can't wait to see him." |
