Eric Lindros was taken to the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center after suffering a concussion Saturday as the Flyers lost Pittsburgh, 6-4.

Lindros was leveled by Pittsburgh' defenseman Darius Kasparaitis and had to be helped off the ice by teammates after being knocked senseless after the clean hit.

"It was clean hit, probably one of the best I've been involved with," said Kasparaitis. "When that happens in a game, you play with your head up the rest of the contest. I'll probably be watching myself tomorrow."

Lindros spent the night in hospital and flew home on Sunday. Dr. Peter Sheptak, who treated him, said Lindros will have to undergo psychological testing and may need to rest for a couple of weeks before returning to the ice.

"I feel tired, have a headache," Lindros said Sunday. "My eyes aren't as sharp as they could be. Gotta go home, get some sleep."
