Robert Lang and Jaromir Jagr each scored twice as Pittsburgh beat Philadelphia 4-1 in their own arena on Saturday to give the Penguins a 2-0 lead in the series.
"It was a really good night for our line," Lang said. "Everybody has to contribute. Every line has a certain role. You have to try and do it every game and if you can, it's great." Philadelphia outshot Pittsburgh 45-25, but Ron Tugnutt in the Penguins net has been almost perfect. "I feel great," Tugnutt said. "I just go out and have nothing to worry about. I throw the equipment on and go out and play. My mind is strictly on what we're doing here and I have nothing else to think about." The Flyers are surprised to find themselves 2-0 in the series. Pittsburgh had a 16-game winless streak in Philadelphia before the playoffs. "No question, we didn't figure to go into Pittsburgh 0-2," said Flyers center Keith Primeau. "Did we get ahead of ourselves? Maybe we need to give them their due respect." "It's getting frustrating," said Flyers left wing John LeClair. "We put up a lot of shots but not a lot of rebounds. They seem to find their guy in front of the net and maybe there's a bit of holding in there. But we have to make sure we fight through it. We have the guys that can do it. We have to find those rebounds." Game 3 is on Tuesday at Pittsburgh. |
