Keith Primeau scored at 12:01 of the fifth overtime to give the Philadelphia Flyers a 2-1 over the Pittsburgh Penguins in the third longest game in NHL history.

"There were 20 heroes in that locker room," Primeau said. "I was just the goal scorer. Everybody's been on me to shoot more. I just tried to get the puck flat and get it on goal."

The Flyers tied the Eastern Conference semifinal series at 2-2 by winning both games in Pittsburgh in overtime after losing games 1 and 2 at home.

It was the first goal in the series for Primeau, who has only eight goals in 79 career playoff games. He brought the puck up along the boards, made a move on Darius Kasparaitis and fired a wrist shot past Ron Tugnutt.

"I really don't remember too much about the goal," Tugnutt said. "I saw Primeau go wide and cut back and he let a hard wrist shot go. That's about all I remember."

The game lasted 152:01, only two six-period overtimes in the 1930s were longer.

"If anything, it's a great feeling to win it," Flyers right wing Keith Jones said. "I lost in Washington against Pittsburgh in four overtimes. That loss demoralized us. It will be interesting to see what happens."

Pittsburgh will have to find a way to regroup after a devastating loss. Game 5 is on Sunday at Philadelphia. The home team has lost each game in the series.

"The sun's going to shine tomorrow," Penguins right wing Matthew Barnaby said. "You see your family, you want to get over it, get ready for Sunday."
