Rookie defenseman Andy Delmore scored three goals for his first career playoff hat trick as Philadelphia beat Pittsburgh 6-3 to take a 3-2 lead in the series.

"I think everyone really came out with a lot of energy, considering the aftereffects of the last game," Delmore said. "Everyone put in a great effort."

Mark Recchi had a goal and four assists for the Flyers, who can now win the series in Game 6 on Tuesday at Pittsburgh.

"Everything was going in," Recchi said. "We didn't do much different than the other games, but the puck was going in for us. We'll take it and run, and get ready for Tuesday."

Philadelphia scored two goals in just 3:27 into the game and Pittsburgh got more bad news as Jaromir Jagr suffered a leg injury and didn't return after playing just one shift in the second period.

"I just pulled something," he explained. "I'm not going to tell you exactly what happened. I'll let you know after the series is over. Before I even stepped on the ice (in the second period), it was 4-0. There was no reason to be there today."

The Flyers were clearly energized by Thursday's victory in the five-overtime marathon and the Penguins didn't find a way to put the devastating loss behind them.

"It's all about confidence, and that's what winning the (five-overtime) game did for us," said Daymond Langkow.

"It was hard to come back after the last game. It was tough on everyone," said Jagr.
