Predators Win AgainArchived from 1999-2000 season. | |
Tomas Vokoun stopped 27 shots and Ville Peltonen had two assist as the Nashville Predators extended their unbeaten streak to six games (3-0-3) with a 3-1 victory over the Carolina Hurricanes.
"I'm just going out and having fun," Vokoun said. "It's always great when you win. The confidence comes when you're stopping the puck and you feel better." Vokoun started the season 0-8-1 and was sent down to minors twice. Vokoun returned to the Predators and beat St. Louis for his first win. "Tomas made some huge saves, especially in the second period," Nashville coach Barry Trotz said. "We're getting some goals for him, finally. He has been a big part of our last two wins. He is seeing his opportunities to play with Dunham sick." Rookies Richard Lintner and Randy Robitaille scored goals 44 seconds apart in the opening period for the Predators and Kimmo Timonen finished scoring for Nashville in the second period. |
