The Philadelphia Flyers snapped a two-game losing streak in a spectacular fashion by scoring three goals in the last three minutes of the game for a 5-3 victory over the Phoenix Coyotes.
"That was probably the most exciting game of the year for everyone, and I know one team was really pumped at the end of the game," said Flyers coach Roger Neilson. Philadelphia crowd gave Neilson a standing ovation in support of his fight against bone marrow cancer and his team staged a great come-back victory. "Knowing that all the people here are behind you and pulling for you is a great feeling," said Neilson, who will start chemotherapy next week. The Flyers outshot the Coyotes 38-17 and extended their home unbeaten streak to 10 games. They haven't lost at home since Oct. 26. The Coyotes lost a season-high fourth straight game and have dropped five of their last six games. Keith Tkachuk scored two goals and Dallas Drake one for Phoenix. |
