The Pittsburgh Penguins might have lost more than a game in 2-1 loss to the Tampa Bay Lightning Sunday night. Penguins star Jaromir Jagr injured his right hamstring in the second period and will be sidelined indefinitely.

"How severe, I don't know," Pittsburgh coach Herb Brooks said. "But it doesn't look too good."

Jagr said he heard his hamstring "crack" as he skated to the offensive blue line tangled with Tampa Bay's Todd Warriner.

Pavel Kubina's power-play goal snapped a second-period tie and gave the Lightning their first win in February.

"I think we shocked the Jagr line. Petr (Svoboda) and I know him very well and know what we have to do against him," Kubina said. "He took a bunch of hits, took no shots and after the second period was done."

The game also marked an NHL debut for former Czech Olympic coach Ivan Hlinka, who is Penguins' associate coach. Rumors have Hlinka soon take over as head coach.

"This was a big game for me," said Hlinka. "I hoped it would be better."

He already had ideas of what the Penguins should be doing to improve their game.

"We play too complicated a game," Hlinka said. "We have to move the puck more. We have to shoot the puck more. We play a lot in the corners."
