"Ray made an unbelievable shot to get it through," Drury said. "Initially, I felt something. I think it might have hit my stick a little bit. It hit square on my knee and went right in. With all the shots we've been throwing at them, it's certainly nice to get one like that, off the knee. I'll definitely take it."

Decisive Game 7 will be played Saturday night in Dallas. It is the first time since 1964 that both Conference finals have gone to seven games.

"We played a great game today," said Stars coach Ken Hitchcock. "The more the series goes, the more we dig in. We will have to be really good in Game Seven, but we are on the right path. We played a gritty, grindy game. This series is right where we should be at. I really like the way we are playing."

After a scoreless first period, Bourque scored early in the second period, but Brett Hull tied the game on power-play late in the period. Hull has five goals in the series and nine in the playoffs.

"I really was excited about this one," Bourque said. "This is why I came here, to be in situations like this. I really feel good about our chances. I felt confident about getting the job done."

Dallas lost Richard Matvichuk in the first periosd after he was elbowed in the head by Dave Andreychuk. Matvichuk suffered a mild concussion and did not return to the game. No penalty was called on the play.

Patrick Roy made 26 saves, extending his NHL record for career playoff victories to 121. He made key saves in the third period.

Colorado' woes on power-play continued with 0-for-3 in the game. Avs'slump is now 1-for-23 and 3-for-30 in the series.
