Outlook:
The Stars are eager to repeat as champions to begin a dynasty. Dallas has looked stronger and stronger during the playoffs. The Avalanche has been like new team since the trade that brought Ray Bourque, who could be back from a knee injury for Game 1, and Dave Andreychuk to Colorado.

Key matchups in this series are Patrick Roy vs. Ed Belfour and Dallas defense vs. Colorado offense. Also, how will the Stars' top-ranked penalty killing handle Avs' power-play?

The Avalanche had tougher path to the Conference finals through Phoenix and Detroit and they won the last two games against the Red Wings without Bourque.

Prediction:
This is a great series that could go either way, but we pick Dallas in seven.
