New Jersey wins series 4-0
Outlook:
New Jersey went into a tank and lost a 15-point lead in the division, fired coach and still continued to play with a lack of effort and energy. Florida's Pavel Bure was the lone 50-goal scorer, but he might be held in check by New Jersey's rugged defense.

Florida also seemed shaky in the last weeks of the season. Key to Panthers chances is Pavel Bure. If he finds room to do his thing, Florida has a good chance of winning. Goalie Mike Vernon has two Stanley Cup rings and he must play exceptionally for Florida.

New Jersey is certainly looking like they will exit early again, but don't count them out just yet. The Devils have much more depth than the Panthers.

March 19 Niedermyer-Worrell incident looms over this series and will bring extra intensity to it.

Prediction:
Panthers in seven.
